The Peruvian Hairless is generally a very healthy dog breed.
We here in Finland have no known serious health issues.
The breed has been for a long time very rare, but during the last years the amount of dogs has multiplied and it's obvious that some health issues in this breeds do occur.
We have not been spared from this phenomenon here in Finland either.

In 2004 a few serious health issues occurred. Epilepsy, hip dysphasia and heart disease.
Other less serious problems have also occurred. As I will tell with the health problems with my own dogs. All problems and faults I do not know, because everyone does not tell the truth about their dogs.

In general there is competition between breeders, and so the health issues and problems of others are more interesting then the problems with ones own dogs. Because of this the problems and health issues with one's own dogs are then left out. This is very common in dog breeding and dog circles.
